Il seminario esplora l\u2019opera dell\u2019architetto Fernando de Porras-Isla-Fern\u00e1ndez a Madrid, in cui la riqualificazione e l\u2019estensione dello spazio pubblico \u00e8 interpretata come opportunit\u00e0 di sperimentazione di soluzioni di adattamento al cambiamento climatico in una metropoli gi\u00e0 caratterizzata da un clima semi-arido, ma sempre pi\u00f9 esposta a ondate anomale di calore. Il seminario approfondisce quattro grandi progetti urbani, in cui la riappropriazione dello spazio pubblico \u2013 precedentemente occupato da infrastrutture stradali e ferroviarie ad alto scorrimento \u2013 ha integrato obiettivi, strategie e azioni di pedonalizzazione, ricucitura, inclusione e rinaturalizzazione: dai recenti progetti di Madrid Rio e Plaza de Espanya, ai futuri progetti del Parque Castellana e del Parque Central sulla stazione di Chamartin. Il seminario ricostruisce e discute i processi, gli approcci e le scelte progettuali in relazione ai risultati ottenuti e alle sfide aperte (per Madrid, ma anche per altre citt\u00e0 europee).

The seminar explores the work of architect Fernando de Porras-Isla-Fern\u00e1ndez in Madrid, where the regeneration and extension of public space is interpreted as an opportunity to experiment with climate change adaptation solutions in a metropolis already characterized by a semi-arid climate, but increasingly exposed to anomalous heat waves. The seminar examines four major urban projects in which the reclaiming of public space\u2014previously occupied by high-capacity road and rail infrastructure\u2014has integrated goals, strategies, and actions of pedestrianization, reconnection, inclusion, and renaturalization: from the recent projects of Madrid R\u00edo and Plaza de Espa\u00f1a to the future projects of Parque Castellana and Parque Central over Chamart\u00edn Station. The seminar reconstructs and discusses the processes, approaches, and design choices in relation to the results achieved and the challenges that remain open, for Madrid as well as for other European cities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
